" My name is Jon and I have been at Phoenix for about five Months. I came here in February and was actually happy cause I wanted to be out of treatment. I liked it here. Things were good for me for about the first month. After that I sopped trying. I gave up and was bout the throw in the towel. I didn’t want to talk to anybody but the with the help of the un relentless tries from the staff here, I gave it another try. I put in the some effort and tried things I wasn’t willing to try before. It helped allot and since then I have been getting better. The Phoenix Group Home has helped me a lot. I can talk to staff and they always know ways to help me with whatever struggles I have because they are experience and live it. I like most everything about this place, the school we attend the environment we live in, the closeness with one another and the fun activities we do. Of all the things I like there are only a few things that I don’t, I don’t like the community service we do but I think it should stay around because it keeps me in check and teaches me good working skills. I don’t like getting up at 6 in the morning every morning, it gets tiring. The last thing that I don’t like is that my family has to come every Sunday. It would be easier if I was closer. Other than those 3 things I was satisfied with everything else. I really liked spending time here it was something I will remember for a long long time. I would recommend this to others looking for help with their life." J.C. Anoka County " I am not a supervising PO so I am not as involved with all facets of your facilities and programming, frankly I don’t send kids to treatment with the exception of Phoenix unless court orders me to do it. You all remain at the top as far as I am concerned. I always sing your praises 1st." B.H. Hennepin County Referent " Staff are team players, involved in building relationships with and connections to the recovering community." M.K. Blue Earth County Referent " And when I got to Phoenix they taught me how to talk to my family, they taught me how to cook, they taught me how to live." D.K. Anoka County " I now know I don't have to go back to gangs, violence and drugs. Phoenix has given me the courage to say no." K.J. Cass Lake "I actually started talking to a couple of my peers and found out they had went through the exact same things as me." G.T. Ramsey County
